Dr. Jared W. Magnani

Jared Magnani, MD, is a cardiologist and is certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a cardiologist in the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Stanford University and completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by his fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Magnani joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2016. He directs clinical trials that focus on social factors and health literacy to improve clinical care and outcomes for vulnerable patients with cardiovascular disease. He is widely published on social determinants and is a long-term member of the American Heart Association.
