Dr. Sayan De

Dr. Daniel Ocel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who joined a division of OCC - Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2005. He is fellowship-trained in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and also practices general orthopedics and sports medicine. His approach centers on compassionate, individualized care tailored to each patient. Dr. Ocel graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University School of Medicine, where he received a Health Professions Scholarship from the U.S. Navy. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, earning the Weinstein Award as the outstanding chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Ocel served as head of orthopedic surgery at Naval Hospital Corpus Christi and was awarded the Naval-Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his service. He then moved to Sydney, Australia, to complete a foot and ankle fellowship with Dr. Martin Sullivan, caring for many of the country’s top professional and Olympic athletes. He later completed an additional fellowship with Dr. Robert Anderson at the Miller Clinic in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Ocel is a member of the Colorado Medical Society, American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Robert Leland is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and dual fellowship trained in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and orthopedic trauma who has practiced in Colorado since 2001. He is one of Colorado’s most experienced Foot and Ankle surgeons and one of the first in the country to perform ankle replacements. Dr. Leland’s treatment centers on thoroughly educating patients about their condition and treatment options so they can best be involved in the decision-making process. He is a member of the Colorado Medical Society, American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Prior to working with OCC, Dr. Leland graduated from the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. Dr. Leland completed fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and Orthopedic Trauma at University Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden, Germany. He subsequently returned to Detroit as Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery in the Department of Orthopedics at Wayne State University and Chief of Orthopedics at the VA Medical Center where he was twice awarded the Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Leland currently serves as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Colorado and received the Colonel Alan Bucknell Award for Teacher of the Year in 2020. Scott G. Resig, M.D.is board certified through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Resig specializes in complex conditions of the lower extremity with a focus in foot and ankle as well as hip and knee joint replacement at Advanced Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver and Parker, Colorado. Dr. Resig pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, graduating with distinction. He received his medical degree and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. After completing his residency, he pursued fellowship training at the Adidas Sports Medicine Institute and then continued his fellowship training in orthopedic foot & ankle surgery at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Resig is currently the Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at Sky Ridge Medical Center. He moved to Denver and joined Denver-Vail Orthopedics, P.C. in 2004. Dr. Resig utilizes many of the most advanced technologies available in orthopedics, including robotic knee surgery, anterior minimally invasive hip replacement, and custom ankle replacement. Dr. Resig hopes that the use of the newest technological advances in orthopedics can give his patients the best outcomes with a quicker recovery.
