Overview

I became fascinated by the intricacies of the inner ear early in my medical education. I quickly realized the importance of hearing to everyday interaction, and the difficulties that hearing loss can impose. As an otologist and neurotologist, it is a privilege to serve people with ear diseases, hearing loss, and skull base disorders. I am passionate about providing medical and surgical care for acoustic neuromas, hearing loss due to otosclerosis and chronic ear infection, cochlear implant surgery in adults and children, and complex skull base tumors to people of all ages. Developing a strong doctor-patient relationship based on trust and mutual respect is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. I believe that being empathetic and a good listener are valuable parts of the healing process and ultimately lead to proper diagnosis and individualized treatment. It is also important that patients have a clear understanding of their condition and treatment options so they can make informed decisions. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons.

Hearing and balance are among the most fundamental ways people interact with the world. As an ENT doctor, otologist, and neurotologist, I am very fortunate to work in a profession that allows me to help patients having problems with these most basic functions. Every patient I work with presents a unique and challenging problem that needs a creative solution. Whether is it surgery to remove a complex tumor at the base of the skull, placing a cochlear implant to restore hearing to the deaf, or diagnosing a complex balance problem, I am motivated to work with my patients to come up with a custom solution to their personal problem. I measure my success by my patients’ improvement and satisfaction. Dr. Kaylie is rated as a Distinguished provider by MediFind in the treatment of Malignant Otitis Externa. His top areas of expertise are Acoustic Neuroma, Schwannoma, Hearing Loss, Mastoidectomy, and Myringotomy.

We live in a noisy world, one in which sound and our hearing abilities shape the way we communicate and interact with one another. As an ear, nose, and throat doctor and otologist, I am privileged to provide medical and surgical care to patients with ear diseases and disorders of hearing and balance, including cochlear implants and other implantable hearing devices. Every patient presents their own unique circumstances and challenges, and I am committed to providing empathetic and individualized care to meet a patient’s unique needs. I value a strong relationship with my patients and try to treat every patient as I would my own family. As a clinician-scientist with interests in the fundamental mechanisms of hearing and verbal communication, I try to bring the same level of inquisitiveness to solving my patient’s problems that I use in all aspects of my professional life. When not seeing patients, I spend my research time trying to better understand how we hear and finding better ways to improve hearing and communication. Dr. Eliades is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Malignant Otitis Externa. His top areas of expertise are Infant Hearing Loss, Vertigo, Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, DFNB1, and Myringotomy.
