Philosophy of care | I want to provide the best care possible to help guide children grow up to be healthy, strong and productive, allowing them to achieve their dreams. I want to be a trusted resource for children and families about their health and wellness. I practice evidence-based medicine and treat every patient like my own family. | Why I entered medicine | As an adolescent I had a life-threatening illness. Fortunately, my doctor was compassionate, knowledgeable, open and honest, encouraging me to stay strong. Now I want to give back to the medical community for all they did to save my life. I want to help children as I was helped. | Community involvement | I enjoy volunteering in community activities and attending local events. You can find me helping out at my children's schools and fundraising events, or attending local festivals and charity events. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending time with my family. We love outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, biking and swimming. We like to go white water rafting or to the ocean. I enjoy watching my son play baseball. I also like puzzles and taking my dog for a walk, especially at the many local parks. To challenge myself, I am starting to learn how to run.
