I was always very protective of her and her experience gave me the desire to become a doctor. During my family medicine residency, I fell in love with the fast-paced, spontaneous environment of urgent care. I enjoy urgent care because every day is unique and I have the ability to treat a wide variety of disease processes. I truly love practicing medicine. Prior to joining Duke Health, I practiced in the urgent care department of a hospital-owned system for five years, three of which I served as the associate medical director for urgent care.
