Overview
I spent the first eight years of my career working as a registered nurse in the surgical and trauma intensive care unit at Regions Hospital. After obtaining my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota, I spent four years working as a primary care provider in a suburban clinic. I appreciated the opportunity to gain confidence, efficiency and skill in my role as a nurse practitioner in the outpatient setting. However, my passion has always resided in the inpatient setting and I am excited to be back at Regions working in acute care surgery. I am honored to be in a position where I can help patients better understand their health and counsel them on ways to improve their health outcomes and prevent future hospital admissions.
