
Overview
Dr. Cannon treats patients with diseases that involve the colon, rectum, and anus including colorectal and anal cancer, diverticular disease, and inflammatory bowel disease among others. He received fellowship training in colon & rectal surgery to treat these diseases and also specializes in the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques such as endoscopy, and robotic surgery.Dr. Cannon is originally from North Carolina and attended school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After medical school he completed his general surgery training at the University of Utah, and subsequently finished his fellowship training in colorectal surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. He and his wife are excited to return to Utah to practice at Intermountain. In his spare time he enjoys going on outdoor adventures with his family and traveling to new places.
