Dr. Mukherjee was selected by the Society for Vascular Surgery Executive Board to be a member of their writing group, working on the Global vascular guidelines on the management of chronic limb-threatening ischemia (GVG CLTI). He is a steering committee member for the Senior Group of the Society of Vascular Surgery. He participates in several ongoing national and international trials to manage abdominal aortic aneurysms and carotid and peripheral arterial diseases. He has authored over 120 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and is a speaker at major national vascular conferences. Dr. Mukherjee was born in India. He has served in the U.S. Army as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA. He currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife. He has two daughters who are both physicians and four grandchildren who are their pride and joy. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, watching cricket and playing tennis.
