Dr. Ibrahim Shahoub

A physician since 2006, Ibrahim Shahoub, MD, treats patients ages 18 and up at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. His areas of interest include lung disease and lung cancer, as well as managing critically ill patients. Dr. Shahoub also has research interests in sepsis, lung cancer and acute respiratory distress syndrome. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. He also holds certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiovascular life support and advanced trauma life support.Dr. Shahoub was inspired to become a doctor by a desire to help people in need and to see them improve. After being certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, he served an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Marshall University in West Virginia. He also did a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Kentucky.His interests outside of medicine include sports.
