Overview

Dr. Benfield's practice evaluates, diagnoses, and treats chronic musculoskeletal and spinal pain of adult patients through integrative and interventional pain treatments. This includes the use of interventions of the spine, joint, muscle, and nerve with diagnostic therapeutic ultrasound techniques and fluoroscopic guided injections.  He also uses neuromodulation including radiofrequency ablation and central and peripheral neural stimulation, osteopathic manual medicine, and exercise therapy prescription. Other techniques include physical and occupational therapeutic consultations, orthotics and bracing, as well as psychological and psychiatric consultations for associated mood disorders that often coincide with chronic pain. The goal of all treatments is to reduce pain, improve daily function, and optimize quality of life. Treatments are personalized and discussed individually with each patient. There is a commitment to continual evaluation of the effectiveness of all treatments as we work together on a successful treatment plan.
