Dr. Marcus Zebrower is a board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in obstetric and perinatal anesthesia at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. He provides expert, family-centered anesthesia care for mothers and newborns in the hospital’s Advanced Delivery Unit, ensuring safe and compassionate experiences during complex deliveries. Caring for both mothers and babies at such a meaningful moment in life is a privilege. I chose to work in obstetric and perinatal anesthesia because it allows me to support families during the transition into parenthood, particularly when newborns need immediate specialized care. Working with the neonatal and maternal teams to give children the best possible start is both inspiring and deeply rewarding. I’m passionate about providing individualized, family-focused care and advancing patient safety in high-risk deliveries. I find great purpose in combining my technical skills with compassion — helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported every step of the way. I also enjoy mentoring anesthesia residents and young physicians, helping them grow into confident and caring professionals. I strive to make a difference by listening to my patients, communicating clearly, and working collaboratively with colleagues across obstetrics, neonatology, and surgery. My goal is to ensure that every mother and baby receive the safest, most coordinated care possible in a calm and supportive environment.
