Overview
Dr. Vanapala was born in Rangareddy, India and moved to the United States in 2000. She attended University of Virginia for her undergraduate degree and went onto St. George’s University School of Medicine where she completed their Master of Public Health Program in 2021. Dr. Vanapala furthered her education with her residency program at Detar Healthcare System in Affiliation with Texas A&M University in 2024 where she served as chief resident in her second year and was a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Dr. Vanapala has experience with trigger point injections, joint injections, skin biopsies and skin tag removals, abscess incision and drainage, and well woman exams. She has special interest in pediatric and newborn care. Dr. Vanapala is excited to start her new position with FPCA and help us provide excellent care to the Frederick community!
Outside of work, Dr. Vanapala enjoys playing tennis, acrylic painting, reading books of various genres, and watching foreign films. She is an only child and has a Pomeranian named Simba. Dr. Vanapala is a fan of alternative music and a couple of her favorite groups include Maroon 5 and One Republic. She has done extensive volunteer work in her prior communities and travels. Her favorite travel destination to date is Iceland and would love to eventually travel to New Zealand. With her extensive knowledge and enthusiasm, Dr. Vanapala is excited to contribute to FPCA and looks forward to serving our community for many.
