Dr. Stephen J. Skokan

"Dr. Stephen J. Skokan is an experienced podiatrist providing more than 30 years of comprehensive foot and ankle care. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, before receiving his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery at Neumann Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he developed a strong foundation in both medical and surgical management of foot and ankle conditions. Board certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry for Primary Care, Dr. Skokan has dedicated his career to helping patients maintain mobility, comfort, and overall health through proper foot care. He has been affiliated with AtlantiCare as well as Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, where he previously served on the Operating Room Committee and was involved with the Integrative Medicine Department. Dr. Skokan has contributed to the advancement of podiatric medicine through several journal publications and has presented educational lectures for both medical professionals and community audiences. His clinical interests include diabetic foot care, biomechanics, and the treatment of conditions such as plantar fasciitis, shin splints, Achilles tendinitis, ingrown toenails, and diabetic neuropathy. Known by patients as a compassionate and down-to-earth physician, Dr. Skokan places strong emphasis on education and communication. He takes the time to clearly explain each patient’s condition and works collaboratively to develop personalized treatment plans that support long-term foot health and improved quality of life. Dr. Skokan welcomes patients of all ages and is available for preventative care, treatment of acute and chronic foot conditions, and ongoing podiatric management.
