Overview
Dr. McManus subscribes to the philosophy of treating his patients as if they were family. “I like to get to know patients – that’s the fun part of the job, getting to know people,”
After earning an undergraduate degree in history from Dartmouth College, Dr. McManus completed pre-medical postbaccalaureate studies at Harvard University Extension School. He earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed residency training in orthopedic surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. He pursued specialized fellowship training in sports medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver before joining Summit Orthopedics.
He chose to focus on orthopedics because he enjoys being able to fix problems and help people get better. He focuses on sports medicine procedures, including arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip, and knee. During his fellowship, Dr. McManus was a team physician for the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos, as well as a local high school football team.
