Dr. Andrawes currently serves as Director of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, and Director of the Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship program at Staten Island University Hospital. He is among a select group of gastroenterologists proficient in these advanced techniques. In 2019, he established the advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship, which has graduated four fellows to date and is fully subscribed through 2025. As a dedicated educator and key clinical faculty member for the GI fellowship program, Dr. Andrawes consistently receives exemplary evaluations from trainees. He has successfully recruited two highly skilled advanced endoscopists, further enhancing the nationally recognized GI division.
