Dr. Nathan Gargus, MD, is originally from a small town in Pennsylvania but moved frequently due to his time serving in the Army and his medical training. Dr. Gargus chose to settle in the Appalachian Highlands because he was drawn to the mountains and charming community. Dr. Gargus is passionate about identifying, diagnosing and treating peripheral arterial disease (PAD). If left untreated, patients with PAD can suffer a heart attack, stroke, severe leg pain, wounds and, in some cases, amputations. By identifying and treating PAD early on, amputation can often be avoided.
