Dr. Clifford Jones

He specializes in specialty orthopedic cases such as: fractures (including rib, scapula, proximal humerus, pelvis ring, acetabular, lower extremity, and foot & ankle), foot and ankle problems, malunions (fractures that heal with angulation, rotation, or shortening), nonunion (fractures that don't heal or heal with pain), post traumatic arthritis, amputations, osteomyelitis, and leg length asymmetry (one leg shorter or longer than the other). He received his BA Biology from DePauw University 1987, BS Biochemistry from Indiana University in 1988, MD from Indiana University in 1992. He completed his training in Orthopedic Surgery from the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program in 1997 and Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship (OTA) in Orthopedic Trauma (Advanced Clinical Experience) from the prestigious Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington in 1998. His awards include Distinguished Visiting Professor, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, OTA/DOD 2008; best clinical instructor, orthopedic surgery, Grand Rapids Education and Research Program (GRMEP) in 2015 and orthopedic surgery, University of Arizona – Phoenix 2017. He has been Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at GRMEP/MSU 2007-20125 and University of Arizona – Phoenix 2016-2019. He has served as president and committee chair of numerous medical societies and editor of numerous orthopedic journals and books.Dr. Jones' care philosophy is to utilize his years of learning, experience, and teaching to provide the best individual care for a patient based upon their expectations, job/profession, age, needs and wants.
