Overview
I moved to Durham as a baby and have never wanted to leave. I attended undergraduate at the lighter blue school in Chapel Hill but returned to Duke for physician assistant school. I have been interested in medicine since middle school when I volunteered as a candy-striper at Duke Regional Hospital. I was drawn to oncology after watching family members that were diagnosed with cancer and the relationships they developed with their oncology team. I have worked in gynecologic oncology since I finished physician assistant school. As a physician assistant, I am fortunate to have the time to spend with our patients to help improve their experience during a very stressful time. I have a special interest in cancer survivorship and help ladies return to “normal” life after cancer. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and playing with my dog.
