Overview
Dr. Barrera earned her osteopathic medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She then completed a general internship at Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, and internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Weston, Florida and Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachuetts. She is board certified in internal medicine, and is a Certified Menopause Practitioner through the North American Menopause Society. Dr. Barrera has practiced in both hospital and outpatient settings. Her interests are primary care, preventive health, women's health, osteopathic manipulative treatment, end-of-life care, and helping patients achieve overall wellness throughout adult life.
