Dr. Alyssa Hackett
Overview
Originally from Ohio, Dr. Hackett has made her home in Manhattan and is happy to be practicing at ENT & Allergy’s Upper East Side office. A mom of two young boys, Dr. Hackett loves meeting other parents, listening to their stories, and working with them to ensure their children have the best opportunity to be healthy and thrive!
Dr. Hackett is dedicated to treating the full range of childhood ear, nose and throat disorders, including congenital head and neck masses, airway disorders, hearing loss, chronic nasal congestion, snoring and sleep apnea, and chronic infections of the ears, nose and throat. She grounds her treatment plans in the most up-to-date evidence based practice guidelines but also aims to tailor her recommendations to individual patient and family.
Dr. Hackett is an active member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. She completed her Otolaryngology residency at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by sub-specialty training in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. She spent the first 8 years of her career in academics with Mount Sinai Hospital before pivoting to private practice in October of 2022.

Dr. David Mener is board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (Earn, Nose, and Throat Surgery) and a fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He received his medical degree at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York in 2010. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Subsequently, he performed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His scope of practice includes endoscopic sinus surgery using stereotactic image guidance in children and adults (with special focus on chronic sinusitis, nasal/sinus polyps, and sinusitis secondary to dental disease), snoring and obstructive sleep disorders in children and adults with special training in performing partial intracapsular adenotonsillectomies in children which offer a faster recovery time and reduced surgical pain, Ear Surgery in children and adults (including tympanostomy tube placement, repairing tympanic membrane membranes (repairing ear-drums), diagnosis and excision of benign and malignant neck masses/lesions, and congenital masses (such as thyroglossal duct cysts, branchial cleft cysts, pre-auricular pits/cysts).
