Philosophy of care | I believe strongly in developing relationships with patients. You are unique, and getting to know you helps me develop your best health care plan. Patients who are comfortable with their clinician become better advocates for their own health and health care concerns. | Why I entered medicine | I had the great pleasure of spending an entire summer between my junior and senior college years at a camp for chronically ill children. The children and their wonderful medical staff inspired me to go into medicine. | Community involvement | I have built houses for Habitat for Humanity. I also participate in 5K walks for the American Heart Association and for Breast Cancer Awareness. | Personal interests | I love reading! I am in a book club and look forward to experiencing all types of literature. I also like to run, and have participated in numerous 5K and 10K runs, plus one Sprint Triathlon.
