Dr. Robert Brems is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah College of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He completed his internship at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.Special interests include laser vision correction (LASIK), cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and cosmetic eye surgery.Dr. Brems is also past Chairman of Prevent Blindness Arizona. After completing an internship at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, Dr. Garcia completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident her senior year. After practicing general ophthalmology for four years with an emphasis on eye plastic surgery, she did an ASOPRS-approved two-year fellowship in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Garcia is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Her area of expertise encompasses the management of abnormalities of the eyelids, lacrimal (tear) system, orbit (the bony cavity surrounding the eye), and cosmetic rejuvenation of the face. She also performs Botox injections and has experience with a variety of dermal fillers. Dr. Garcia and her husband live in Gilbert with their three children.Southwestern Eye Center doctors provides state-of-the-art LASIK to Phoenix, Mesa, Sedona and the surrounding communities. We also provide comprehensive optometry and ophthalmology services, including subspecialty procedures in vitreoretinal disease, oculoplastics, cornea disease, glaucoma, refractive procedures, low vision aids and ocular prosthetics.
