Overview
I have been in health care for over 20 years. I believe being in health care is a calling. I remember wanting to be a nurse practitioner from a very young age. Not only did I know I wanted to be in the medical field, my mom encouraged me daily to be a nurse practitioner, reassuring me I could do it. I began volunteering as a candy striper at age 15, and built my career from there. My favorite part of my profession is taking care of my patients. My patients are not a room number or a diagnosis, but human beings, that require my compassion, attention, and care. I have a friendly disposition and believe in patient centered care and that the patient should be a part of the decision making in their health care. Aside from my love for my profession, I'm a loving and devoted wife and mother of two girls. I love spending time with my family and enjoying the little things in life. We as a family, participate in 5k runs for charity, camp, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.
