
Overview
Megan Murphy is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Providence Regional Cancer System. She began her health care journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant while working through her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at the University of Portland. After finishing her undergraduate, Megan began working as a Registered Nurse at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. Megan started as a nurse on the Neurology Unit and transitioned to working on the Oncology Unit about a year into her career. Megan continued to work as a nurse, and a charge nurse on the Oncology Unit at St. Peter's while she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Pacific Lutheran University. While in graduate school, Megan completed her doctoral project which focused on helping connect loved ones who care for oncology patients with resources for support which she presented at the Western Institute of Nursing Conference and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Research Congress. Megan is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate their cancer journey with dignity and hope.
