Overview
Luz P. Angel, MD, FACS, FACSRS earned her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Columbia University and is board certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Dr. Angel has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Angel served as an Attending Surgeon at Emory Decatur Hospital.
Dr. Angel's clinical focus involves malignant and benign diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus, including colorectal and anal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, pelvic floor disorders such as rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence and anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids, fistulas and anal fissures.
