Overview
Dr. Maher is board certified in Family medicine and strives to provide excellent care by establishing a friendly atmosphere and trusting partnership with each patient. Dr. Maher is also fellowship-trained in sports medicine and is up-to-date on the newest non-operative interventions for sports injuries. He has provided care for both professional and amateur athletes for the Special Olympics, World Series of Beach Volleyball, LA Rugby and the Dew Tour. Dr. Maher completed his residency at Harbor-UCLA, a level one trauma center and widely renowned research facility in Los Angeles. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro University after receiving his undergraduate degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He is an active member of The American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.As a Cal Poly Alum, Dr. Maher and his family are happy to reside in SLO.
