
Overview
Bryan H. Goldstein MD, FACC, FSCAI is a pediatric interventional cardiologist and is certified in pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and interventional cardiology service at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Boston Combined Residency in Pediatrics (Children’s Hospital Boston) and fellowship at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital (University of Michigan Medicine). Dr. Goldstein joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2019. His clinical interests include congenital cardiac catheterization, minimally invasive transcatheter therapies, and single ventricle (Fontan) circulation. Dr. Goldstein has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, is a frequent faculty member and presenter at national and international meetings, and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). Dr. Morell’s career has focused on acute care cardiology and complex congenital heart diseases including single-ventricle physiology. Since her appointment as an assistant professor of Pediatrics in 2011, Dr. Morell has transformed the inpatient general cardiology service at Children’s. She sought advanced training in quality improvement methodology, helped to develop a general cardiology quality improvement program at Children’s, and established herself as a local and national leader in quality improvement. Her current research focus is on quality improvement with projects focused on improving patient care in the acute care and outpatient settings. She is a member of the American Heart Association, the Pennsylvania Chapter of Osteopathic Physicians-District VIII, the Pediatric Acute Cardiology Care Collaborative, and the PAC3 Quality Improvement Subcommittee, as well as an executive member of the Pediatric Acute Cardiology Care Collaborative.
