Dr. Mandel prides himself as a surgical educator and was awarded Surgical Teacher of the Year at Columbia University Medical Center. He was honored by the American Cancer Society at the Diamond Ball in 2017 and was a National Award winner as Cancer Liaison by the America College of Surgeons in 2024.
