Dr. Altman is secretary/treasurer of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and past president of the American Laryngological Association (ALA). He is also a fellow of the ALA, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American College of Surgeons, the American Rhinologic Society and the Triological Society.|Dr. Altman’s research interests include pre-malignant vocal fold disease, chronic cough and dysphagia in the presence of neurodegenerative disease.
