Dr. Mota earned his B.S. in Biology from SUNY Albany, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. He went on to attend the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine, where he was honored with the Gold Humanism Award for compassionate care. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, gaining a solid foundation in musculoskeletal and surgical care. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at the University of Miami, where he trained alongside both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine specialists. This dual exposure enhanced his expertise across a broad range of spinal conditions and surgical techniques.
