Overview
Dr. Knight joined the Division of Hospital Medicine in 2000. She serves as Chief Medical Information Officer and chair of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee for Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. For Johns Hopkins Medicine she is co-chair of the Clinical Decision Support, Order Set Review and Epic Inpatient Design committees, and Medical Informatics Director of Clinical Communication. She is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association, and was chair of AMIA’s Clinical Decision Support Working Group from 2023-24. In 2024 she won the Award for Support of Clinical Excellence from the Johns Hopkins Medicine Miller Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence. Our studies have explored the effectiveness of semi-automating daily progress notes for improved documentation, peer assessment of professional performance among hospitalists, ways to enable patient-centered care using information technology and other topics.
