
Overview
The founder of Rumi Mind Health, Dr. Sina Nikayin, MD is an internationally recognized interventional psychiatrist with years of experience in diagnosing and treating mood disorders and other treatment resistant mind health challenges.
After completing his psychiatry residency at Yale University, where he spent the last year of his training as the chief resident of interventional psychiatry, Dr. Nikayin joined the faculty at the Yale School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry. Since then, Dr. Nikayin has completed tens of thousands of interventional psychiatric treatments on thousands of patients with the most challenging and treatment resistant disorders at Yale New Haven Hospital. He continues to provide care to patients at Yale New Haven Hospital as a Assistant Professor Adjunct of Psychiatry.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Nikayin has completed numerous scholarly projects, and has been the primary investigator or co-investigator on multiple significant studies and clinical trials in the field. His work has been cited more than 5,000 times as of this writing, a testament to his role in defining and advancing modern psychiatry. He has been featured in various major scientific publications and news organizations, including, but not limited to the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA Psychiatry.
