Dr. David Schlesinger

David Schlesinger, MD, is a diagnostic radiologist who serves as chairman of radiology and is medical director of breast imaging for the Western Region with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, he has more than 10 years of experience specializing in the interpretation of medical imaging to aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions. With expertise in modalities such as X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and image-guided procedures, he provides critical insights that support timely, informed clinical decisions. He provides compassionate, personalized care and ensures patients understand their condition and treatment.Dr. Schlesinger obtained his BA in anthropology, cum honore, from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating cum laude. He then went on to complete an internship in internal medicine at The Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital. He underwent residency training in diagnostic radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center, where he also served as chief resident. Finally, for further sub-specialization, he completed a breast imaging fellowship at Harvard Medical School at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Center. Prior to joining AMG, he served as chief of breast imaging for a large private practice group in the Houston metropolitan area. Dr. Schlesinger serves as an expert witness and clinical reviewer in cases involving the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer. He is a participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization.
