I’m a reconstructive urologic surgeon who also cares for cancer survivors. I decided I wanted to go into medicine while in high school after feeling a sense of duty to serve those around me; this was the same calling that drew me to service in the military for 23 years. I came to Duke after my active duty service in the Army was completed in 2010 and since then, my family has really become a “Duke family.” We regularly attend Duke Football games and other sporting and social events. My wife also works here, my kids have expressed interest in attending college here and we all regularly wear the Duke blue colors on weekends.
