Overview
Dr. Parker is originally from Custer, Wisconsin, a small town in the rural Midwest. She grew up playing basketball and competing in rodeo, and eventually played basketball on an athletic scholarship for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay while obtaining her undergraduate degree. She received her medical training at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. She received her pediatric residency training at Vanderbilt University, and quickly grew to love middle Tennessee and the children and families she has had the opportunity to serve.
Dr. Parker’s favorite thing about being a pediatrician is the opportunity to build relationships with parents and families, and to provide comprehensive pediatric care that allows parents and their children to grow through the many successes and challenges of life. Her areas of interest include newborn health, well and acute care, childhood development, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, depression and anxiety, and adolescent care. Outside of work, her hobbies include hiking, watching sports (especially March Madness), and spending time with her husband, who is a Nashville-area native.
Dr. Parker is rated as an Experienced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Infection. Her top areas of expertise are Croup and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Infection.
