Overview
Joshua Smith, FNP-BC, believes communication is one of the most powerful tools in medicine. “Listening to your patients is key to finding the right diagnosis,” he says. A native of Blountville, Joshua feels fortunate to serve the Appalachian Highlands, where the pace of life and access to the outdoors remind him he’s right where he belongs. Drawn to orthopedics for its hands-on approach, he enjoys helping athletes and active individuals return to the activities they love. Inspired by his mother’s 35-year nursing career, Joshua brings compassion and dedication to his patients every day. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with family. He is also active in his church.
