
Overview
Dr. Mackeen is a board-certified and fellowship-trained specialist in maternal-fetal medicine. Her clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, labor and delivery management, and quality and safety. Her research interests include obesity, evidence-based care in labor and delivery and outcomes research. Dr. Mackeen earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center, followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Mackeen is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in obstetrics and gynecology and in maternal-fetal medicine. She is director of Research for the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Geisinger.|In her free time, Dr. Mackeen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling (especially to Europe), trying new restaurants and watching movies. She grew up with several pets, including dogs, fish and parrots.
