Overview
I am a neuromuscular specialist and see patients with any neuromuscular condition. Common symptoms of neuromuscular conditions can include weakness, imbalance, numbness, tingling, double vision, and difficulties with speech or swallowing. I perform electromyography (EMG) and neuromuscular ultrasound to assist in the proper diagnosis and guide treatment when appropriate. Every patient deserves the best care possible, and this is what I strive for during each encounter. I care for my patients in the way I would hope my family members would be cared for.

I have the privilege of working with patients in both the hospital and clinic. As a hospital neurologist, my interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of acute neurologic problems, such as seizures, head injuries, infections, and autoimmune conditions. My outpatient practice focuses on the treatment of epilepsy in patients with hard-to-control seizures. In both the hospital and clinic, I have the pleasure of working with the excellent medical students, residents, and fellows of Duke University Hospital, along with nationally and internationally recognized colleagues.
