Dr. Francis Dauterive

Dr. Ralph Dauterive earned his medical degree from LSU in New Orleans and completed his internship and residency at Ochsner. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Dauterive has been on staff at Ochsner since 1987. In the area of gynecology, his interests include laparoscopic surgery, including complete laparoscopic hysterectomy and laparoscopic Burch procedures, hysteroscopic surgery, pelvic reconstructive surgery, general infertility evaluation, and menopausal management. Dr. Dauterive specializes in minimally invasive surgery and is considered a pioneer in gynecologic robotic surgical procedures since 2006. Dr. Dauterive's professional interests include quality management and safety in the clinical practice of medicine. He was tabbed the Medical Director of Quality in Baton Rouge in November of 2023 after serving as the Vice President of Medical Affairs for Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge for the past 10 years. Dr. Dauterive sees patients at multiple clinic locations in Baton Rouge and delivers babies at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge.
