Jamie E. Givens, NP
Overview
Jamie Givens, FNP-C, originally from Appalachia, Virginia, found her home in Kingsport, Tennessee, over two decades ago while pursuing graduate studies at East Tennessee State University. Her deep-rooted passion for the Appalachian Highlands stems from the warmth and kindness of its people. Driven by a family history of Type 1 diabetes, she became a clinician to positively impact the lives of those facing this condition. Inspired by her mother’s dedication as an emergency room nurse at Lonesome Pine Community Hospital, Jamie thrives on building strong patient relationships and empowering them. Her patient care philosophy centers on the power of listening, believing that 90% of a patient’s story lies within their eyes. Beyond her medical practice, she enjoys family time, teaching Sunday School, and community involvement through the Ross N. Robinson Athletic Booster Club.
