
Overview
Dr. Abbey Rocco is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist who cares for patients from birth to 21 years old. She specializes in treating pediatric brain and spine tumors, including both low-grade and high-grade; as well as central nervous system (CNS) tumors in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis. Dr. Rocco provides compassionate care to children with tumors of the brain and spine, ensuring access to an extensive medical team through the leadership of a multidisciplinary brain tumor program. She also utilizes clinical trials to help identify less toxic treatment strategies that effectively treat brain and spine tumors in children. Dr. Rocco's research interests include basic science research and translational research involving cellular therapy and oncolytic virotherapy in pediatric brain tumors. Dr. Rocco is an assistant professor with the Division of Pediatrics Hematology and Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
