My clinical interests include surgical repair of eyelid malpositions (dermatochalasis, ptosis, entropion, ectropion, etc.), eyelid tumor management, eyelid and eyebrow reconstructions following Mohs surgery, brow and forehead lifts, reconstruction after eyelid injuries, evaluation and management of lacrimal drainage dysfunction, and treatment of blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm with neuromodulators. I have a particular interest in surgical and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation techniques, including botulinum toxins, fillers, and energy-based skin therapies. I first came to North Carolina from Pennsylvania in 1989 for my undergraduate education have lived and practiced here ever since. My husband, also an ophthalmologist, and I love taking advantage of the beautiful North Carolina weather and have a lake house that we enjoy sharing with friends and family. I am also active in training the next generation of surgeons that are able to address and solve challenges in an ethical and virtuous way. I have, along with my colleagues, developed and instituted a virtue-based approach to residency training that will meet this need.
