Lex Flowers is a certified nurse-midwife who graduated from the joint midwifery and master’s program at The George Washington University and Shenandoah University. With a passion for supporting women throughout all stages of life, Lex specializes in care from adolescence to menopause, as well as pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. She joined Inova in 2022 as a staff and travel nurse and has been practicing as a midwife since 2024. With a holistic approach to care, Lex believes that true health is found in the balance between integrative treatments and modern medicine. Lex strives to create a comfortable, collaborative environment where women feel empowered and heard. As a delivering midwife, Lex focuses on blending the warmth and comfort of home with the medical safety and expertise of a hospital setting. Lex is well-versed in techniques such as Spinning Babies and offers aromatherapy to support physiologic birth, whether patients choose an unmedicated birth or an epidural. Outside of work, Lex enjoys spending time with her daughters, Eloise and Adeline, and her husband, Jon, as well as pursuing her passions for music, reading, Pilates and gardening.
