Overview
As a fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon, I perform aesthetic surgery of the face and neck. My particular expertise is in rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation procedures, including face and neck lifts, upper and lower eyelid surgery, fat grafting, Botox, and fillers. I also perform surgeries for functional reasons, including nasal obstruction, nasal bone fractures, and acquired facial deformities from trauma or cancer. My goal is to provide natural, long-lasting results and for my patients to feel confident and like the best version of themselves. I believe it’s important to listen to what the patient wants and truly hear them to achieve a successful outcome tailored to the patient, not a cookie-cutter result. My favorite part of my work is seeing the effect my treatment has on a patient's confidence and quality of life.

Clinical Research
Clinical research consists of overseeing clinical studies of patients undergoing new treatments and therapies, and publishing articles in peer reviewed medical journals. Providers who actively participate in clinical research are generally at the forefront of the fields and aware of the most up-to-date advances in treatments for their patients.

My clinical interests include surgical repair of eyelid malpositions (dermatochalasis, ptosis, entropion, ectropion, etc.), eyelid tumor management, eyelid and eyebrow reconstructions following Mohs surgery, brow and forehead lifts, reconstruction after eyelid injuries, evaluation and management of lacrimal drainage dysfunction, and treatment of blepharospasm and hemifacial spasm with neuromodulators. I have a particular interest in surgical and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation techniques, including botulinum toxins, fillers, and energy-based skin therapies. I first came to North Carolina from Pennsylvania in 1989 for my undergraduate education have lived and practiced here ever since. My husband, also an ophthalmologist, and I love taking advantage of the beautiful North Carolina weather and have a lake house that we enjoy sharing with friends and family.
