"Dr. Alex Torres is a board-certified family medicine physician who is passionate about helping patients live healthier, fuller lives. From a young age, he was fascinated by medicine and drawn to a career that would challenge him while allowing him to make a meaningful difference. Practicing medicine, he says, fulfills his passion for helping others while keeping him engaged in lifelong learning and growth. Dr. Torres chose family medicine because it gives him the privilege of caring for patients at every stage of life. He values the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their families — supporting them not only during times of illness, but also in their long-term health journeys. Whether providing preventive care, managing chronic conditions, or addressing acute concerns, Dr. Torres prioritizes clear and compassionate communication. Being fluent in Spanish allows him to connect deeply with Spanish-speaking patients and ensure they feel fully informed and comfortable with their care. His path with AtlantiCare began years ago as a Patient Care Associate, and he later completed his Family Medicine Residency here, serving as Chief Resident. These experiences gave him not only clinical skills but also leadership experience and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Now, as a primary care physician, he is proud to continue serving the same community where he trained and grew as a clinician. Dr. Torres is motivated by seeing his patients succeed — whether it’s reaching a health milestone, better managing a chronic condition, or simply feeling well enough to enjoy daily life. For him, a good day is one where patients leave feeling heard, respected, and confident in their care plan, and he ends the day knowing he made a difference.
