Dr. Fernandez specializes in pediatric anesthesiology and is the founder of the pediatric pain service at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2012, and in 2023, was honored for excellence and professionalism in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Awards. Her other interests include: quality improvement and safety, faculty development and physician wellness. Dr. Fernandez started the lecture series Women of Impact in Anesthesiology.
