Overview
As a family medicine doctor, the patient-physician relationship remains the most rewarding and important aspect of my career and an area in which I thrive. Establishing relationships and building trust often does not happen in one visit, but rather over the course of multiple conversations over months and years. Over time, this rapport often leads to improved medical care as I get to know and understand each patient. While treating medical conditions and following evidence-based medicine is a large aspect of medicine, and something I emphasize, getting to know a patient as more than their diagnoses is vital to providing the best care to each individual patient. I enjoy serving a diverse patient population, which can come in many forms. I take care of a wide scope of patients from different socioeconomic classes and racial backgrounds, as well as refugees, immigrants and the LGBTQ community. I have a particular interest in the transgender community. Additionally, I enjoy contraception management, including Nexplanon and IUD placements. However, being a true family medicine provider, I thoroughly enjoy caring for a spectrum of ages, from newborns to age 99, with a diversity of medical conditions.
