Overview
I grew up in a rural county in Kentucky, where it was often difficult to find a doctor—much less a specialist—to meet patients' needs. This experience inspired me to attend medical school and ultimately become a cancer surgeon. I love being a surgeon because it demands both mastery of medical knowledge and precision in surgical technique. As a cancer surgeon, I aim to know my patients as human beings first and patients second. As a mother, I understand that parenthood is one of the most crucial roles humans will ever play in another's life; however, I believe the role your medical team plays in your care is equally vital. It is my privilege to be part of your cancer care journey. I value transparent communication, shared decision-making, and building long-term relationships with my patients. When you meet our team in the clinic, our goal is to provide a surgical plan that is easy to understand and personalized to you and your family's needs.
