Overview
Amanda Brodton, APN, was inspired to go into healthcare by her grandfather, Dr. John Holland. A family doctor who worked out of his home office, he carried a black leather bag on house calls and specialized in ear, nose and throat. “He was a caring and loving person who treated everyone the same, no matter what,” Amanda says. Following his footsteps, Amanda chose to specialize in ENT after years working in trauma and critical care. Also known as otolaryngology, the specialty covers disorders like hearing loss; ear infections; balance disorders; tinnitus; facial and cranial nerve disorders; allergies; sinusitis; nasal polyps; deviated septum; sleep apnea; and diseases of the voice box, upper air and digestive tracts. “My goal for every patient is to either resolve the issue or, if ENT isn’t the right specialty, get them the help they need. I always take the time to listen and do everything possible to help them feel better. We’re going to figure this out together,” she says. Amanda earned her master’s in nursing from Drexel University, Philadelphia. She received a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary health services from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, and a bachelor’s in nursing from Thomas Edison State College, Trenton. In addition to her career at AtlantiCare, Amanda’s experience includes spending time as a travel nurse, working as a flight nurse and volunteering in Cameroon, Africa. She was also a preceptor in the AtlantiCare trauma unit. Amanda started with AtlantiCare in 2006. “AtlantiCare is like a family. Everyone is great and can rely on each other to work as a cohesive team,” she says. Philosophy of Care “I want every patient to feel like I have listened to them carefully, treated them as a whole person, and did all I could to help them feel better.” Personal Interests A Downbeach native, Amanda lives in Ventnor with her husband and two sons. She loves the beach, spending time outdoors, traveling, and Sunday dinners with family.

Robyn Cummings has lived and worked in southern New Jersey her whole career. She has extensive experience in medical-surgical nursing, critical care and women’s health – where she feels she can have the greatest positive impact. “Women’s health is my calling. It’s aligned with the nurse I want to be. Beyond taking physical care of my patients, I’m their advocate and their educator,” she says. “And I really like getting to know them across the entire lifespan. I have teenage patients, some in middle age and some older. With each, I work to build trust and encourage them to take an active role in their care.” Robyn cares for women before, during and after pregnancy and also manages pelvic and urological disorders. “The work is very rewarding, especially the urological care. We often see dramatic results that significantly improve quality of life, especially with urinary incontinence. So many women think they have to ‘just live with it.’ But we can often make a real difference,” she says. Robyn is board-certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation. She earned her master’s in nursing at Rutgers University School of Nursing, Camden; her bachelor’s at University of Delaware, Newark; and her R.N. at Rowan College of South Jersey, Vineland. Robyn works hard to prevent her patients from feeling rushed or confused. “I want to be that person who spends the time to make sure every patient understands everything that’s going on. I want them to be part of the plan,” she says. She says she’s proud to be part of AtlantiCare’s commitment to providing the full spectrum of women’s health. “Instead of going to multiple locations, we’re building a service where everything is available here. We do just about everything, from primary care to very specialized urological care. It’s much more convenient and our patients really appreciate that,” she says. Philosophy of Care “Taking the time to explain things and include my patients in every aspect of their care is so important in women’s health. When they are informed, they are more comfortable. It really builds trust.”. Dr. Cummings is highly rated in 1 condition, according to our data. Her clinical expertise encompasses Rectocele. Dr. Cummings is board certified in National Certification Corporation, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, 2014. Dr. Cummings is currently accepting new patients.
