Amanda McCoy, MD, MPH, is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon and an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. She received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and her masters in public health from the University of North Carolina. She completed her residency at the Harvard University Combined Orthopaedics Residency Program. She then completed a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Baylor University. Following fellowship, Dr. McCoy worked at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya for nearly three years, where she served as the interim residency program director.Dr. McCoy’s clinical focus is pediatric orthopaedics, and her research interests include lower extremity deformity and health care access. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA), J. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society (JRGOS), Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), Pan African Association of Christian Surgeons (PAACS), and Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA).

Her clinical expertise encompasses Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis, Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease (LCPD), Bowlegs, and Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita.

Dr. Mccoy is board certified in American Board Of Orthopaedic Surgery. She is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 4 peer reviewed articles. Dr. Mccoy is currently accepting new patients.
